The poppy bowl-shaped flowers of the Anemone de Caen offer an aesthetically pleasing blend of blue-violet, red and white blooms in spring. Also known as windflowers, anemones are both easy and reliable to grow, producing a carpet of pretty poppy-like flowers. They can be grown in borders, containers or woodland plantings. These flowers will also naturalise by both tuberous rhizomes and by self-seeding.
